A Note from Natasha
With Thanksgiving upon us, I wanted to take some time to give thanks to those who make Pawsperity’s mission possible. It is definitely a collective effort, and not easy. Like many growing nonprofits, sometimes we are faced with new challenges, which may mean we have to make changes or pivot to find solutions. I am continually grateful for the layers of support that surround Pawsperity and am hopeful this holiday season will continue to bless our organization.
To our community partners, such as domestic violence and homeless shelters, thank you for referring your clients to our program who you feel could succeed as dog groomers.
Much gratitude to our workforce development partners who continue to fund significant portions of our students’ tuitions, allowing our program to continue being tuition-free.
To our individual donors, companies, community organizations, and foundations who give a tremendous amount collectively, we appreciate each and every one of you. We do not take your support for granted.
To our dog clients, we would not have a grooming school if our students did not have your dogs to groom! What you may not always realize is that you are also providing revenue that feeds back to our mission.
Our employment partners, whether a corporate chain or a smaller shop, hire our graduates and make it possible for our graduates’ new professional careers to flourish. While we try to provide the best training possible, we know you are often acting as mentors, which helps them tremendously.
To our staff, volunteers, and Board of Directors, your ongoing work and tireless dedication make up a very strong and passionate team.
Last, but certainly not least, thank you, students, for trusting Pawsperity to help you make lasting transformation of both your lives and the lives of your families.
Happy holidays to all of you!
