A Note from Natasha
There is a lot of reflection as we move more into Pawsperity’s 10th official year of existence. Especially with February upon us, often synonymous with love, I thought I’d share a few observations about our nonprofit that I truly love.
- Our team. We have an amazing group of dedicated individuals who show up each day helping our students succeed. Additionally, we are very fortunate to have the support and guidance of an extraordinary Board of Directors.
- Our dog clients. Without the dogs, our students could not learn. Many customers bring their dogs to us over and over because they simply love our mission.
- Our donors. We have a variety of individuals, foundations, government entities, and companies who all support us on so many different levels. They are all needed and appreciated. I enjoy getting to know those who are newer to Pawsperity, while still being able to continue engaging with those who have been supporting us from the start.
- Our volunteers. In the beginning, there was not a large staff. I could not have created Pawsperity without the loyalty from so many volunteers. While volunteering roles are ever changing as our organization grows and needs may shift, seeing so many kind individuals and groups giving their time in a variety of ways is wonderful.
- Our community partners. Sometimes other organizations are also in the nonprofit space and fight alongside us to end generational poverty. Sometimes our partners can provide services or in-kind gifts. I am thankful for each of them.
- Our students. I am constantly in awe of their strength and resilience. Living through traumatic situations or circumstances hard for others to sometimes even fathom and coming out on the other side to be able to support themselves and their families, is inspiring and a true testament to our mission.
For those of you who have shown Pawsperity love and support, whether you are new to us or have been along the journey with us for years, thank you from the bottom of my heart! Until next month…
