A Note from Natasha
January of this new year is somehow almost over with a blink of an eye! While we have many exciting things happening in 2026 to celebrate our 10-year anniversary, we were fortunate to receive wonderful news very late in 2025. Pawsperity is now accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC)!
ACCSC is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a reliable authority concerning the quality of education or training offered by the institutions it accredits. Their mission is to ensure quality education that enhances student success in the workforce. For us, it has been imperative to attain and commit to this level of accreditation to make sure our program continues to be as impactful as possible for our students. This has been a multi-year process, and our dedicated team has worked very hard to make it happen. We are thrilled to pass along this wonderful accomplishment for our school!
If you know of anyone who may be interested in our program, please be sure to pass along our information to them. While you no doubt support our work on some level, as a pet parent who brings your dog to us, as a volunteer, or as a donor, you hopefully understand the magnitude of what we do. It is not easy to fight against generational poverty, but our program is proving time and time again that it is possible to make real differences in the lives of our students and their families. We help some of our community’s most vulnerable. For more information about our program and student qualifications, you can read more on our website here.
Lastly, while we have graduated 195 students over the course of the past 10 years, we hope to impact even more lives over this next year and upcoming decade. I want to thank Missouri’s Governor Kehoe for inviting Pawsperity to the State of the State Address on January 13. He acknowledged our work and specifically highlighted Amy, one of our graduates who is now a grooming instructor at our school, helping others on a daily basis. This kind of awareness and support is amazing and will hopefully lead to impacting even more lives. Stay tuned for more exciting news in next month’s edition!
