A Note from Natasha
2025 has been a very busy year for our organization. We are so grateful for all of you who have supported our mission so we can continue impacting some of our community’s most vulnerable. Through it all, we continue to have amazing graduate success stories. If you haven’t read it already, please check out Juno’s journey here. She is just one of many single moms who has been able to transform her life with the help of Pawsperity.
You may not realize but our grooming school is tuition free for students. However, the cost for us averages $50,000 per student. The tuition covers not only the 7-months of full-time grooming school, the life skills classes, and wraparound services such as case management, but also the important 18-month Bridge Program that follows graduation. This time has proven to be very challenging as they are coming off assistance and may need extra guidance and support.
During the holidays, many of us are fortunate to count our blessings—to be healthy, have a roof over our heads, food on the table, and hopefully, a supportive family. Our students are not typically that lucky. They often come from traumatic situations such as homelessness, addiction, and domestic violence. They average making only $8,300 per year before entering our program. But after graduation, they average $43,000, with our highest earner making more than $100,000. Pawsperity is helping them make real sustainable changes for themselves and their families.
